We are a growing, private optometry office in Studio City looking for full-time or part-time Optician. We are looking for someone who has a strong desire to provide the best patient experience/ customer service. Taking care of our patients is our goal so we are looking for someone who is friendly, caring, and truly enjoys helping others. Our team of opticians are great to work with so we need someone who works well with others and is a team player. Candidates must be comfortable working in a busy office setting since optical staff is trained to do various tasks. Candidate must also be computer proficient.

Pay based on experience. Candidates with minimal experience who are passionate about eye care are encouraged to apply.

Job Requirements:
1. At least 1yr experience, particularly with sales or patient care

2. Strong verbal communication and listening skills to understand the needs of our patients

3. Excellent ability to follow instructions carefully and work independently

4. Detailed oriented to ensure office operations run smoothly

5. Skillful in the ability to multi-task and work efficiently

6. Excellent ability to work well under pressure

7. Proficient in authorizing and billing vision insurance plans

8. Proficient in contact lens training

9. Proficient in repairs and adjustments

10. Knowledge of cutting and edging lenses is not required, but will train

11. Must be able to work Saturdays.

Job duties (not limited to):
1. Assisting patients with eyewear selection and contact lens purchases, repairs and adjustments

2. Answering phones, phone recalls, scheduling appointments, authorizing and billing of insurances

3. Checking-in patients, pre-testing patients, contact lens training

4. Labwork

5. Other tasks related to maintaining office operations
